Day 3

Its day 3 of having the butterfly kits, and the caterpillers are getting bigger, so much
so that they freak me out to look at them.
I hate bugs, and at this point that is what they look like to me.. hehe
Unfortunately, one died.  It has stayed in the same place, not moved at all, and hasn't grown
either..so sad

We cant wait until they are butterflies....

We are growing butterflies.....

I still have my Dayhome, still doing it privately.
I was seriously thinking of going with an agency, but a few things made
me decide to just stay private for the time being, and I will maybe think of
going with an agency again next year.

Anyway, I sent off for butterly kits and they arrived today.
There is 9 separate wee cups with larvae in each one..
In about 2 1/2 weeks we will have butterlies
The kids are giving them names :)

No Excuses...

I just haven't felt in the mood to be writing in my blog these days.... not that anyone really reads it anyway :)
Soooo... some things that are going on in our lives..
We are Great Grandparents... you didn't read it wrong.
Our Granddaughter had twins in December... a boy and a girl, and they are lovely.
They are adorable and are growing up fast.  Over 3 months old already... its
hard to believe.

Isn't their wee family adorable !!  I love them  x x

My husband's brother died just recently... we weren't all close, as we live far from them,
but it was still sad. Hubby went back for the funeral, and it was good for him to
re connect with family again.
His brother was only 51 years old... sad eh ?

We are giving Homestay a break... not sure when or if we will go back to it.
We are thankful for all that we learned from doing it though.
It feels like we are going through lots of changes... change is good though.

And yesterday... we became grandparents again !!
Our son and his wife also had twins... a boy and a girl also.
I feel like we are so blessed..
Here they are.. brand new wee babies... love them already :)

A THOUGHT......

Blessings....

Its Saturday tomorrow.... and tomorrow our church are gathering food for the food bank.
Flyers have already been put in mailboxes all over Calgary, along with bags...
Unfortunately Ken and I cant help with it as we help at The Bishop's Storehouse on Saturday mornings.  Ken actually goes more than I do, I sometimes cant get there, because of
the overload of things I have to get done at home.... things that I cant get done
because I babysit all week.

We feel like we are getting so blessed these days... eg: Ken retired almost 2 years ago, but he started driving the school bus.  He has had his moments, but on the whole, he has loved it !!
Two days ago, they called him and have asked him to work Fulltime for them... he will be doing a bus route to a Mall, back and forth.
Before he got offered this, I advertised quite aggressively for babysitting,  I had lost a few kids, but now I will have more than a full house.  I'm wishing not now, because Ken will work Full time.
We also have 2 students... I will have a lot to do.
So, I have a question.... why am I feeling like this???
I mean, I am thankful... for a wee while now, I feel like I have a fight going on inside me.. I'm really going through a hard time.. the worst part is... I dont feel like I know who to talk to... or who to trust to talk to.... 

I do want you to know, that I am Thankful for everything... I love my family so much.

Have I said... my grandaughter is pregnant with Twins !!!  A boy and a girl... isn't it exciting !!

Students, Kids and Pinterest.....

I have a student right now who we hardly ever see... not because he's out doing good things , like going to school etc, but because he sleeps all day and stays up all night.
Even now he is in bed. 
We didn't see him at all yesterday... who knows what he does all night.
We call him for dinner, sometimes he comes, most times he doesn't because he's sleeping.
Tonight , we have a new student coming, and also no school for the children I babysit this afternoon, so I had to get some things done.  I vacuumed outside of his room door etc this morning.
Dont know if its upsetting him that I did that, I dont really care.
If I was to wait until he was up, it may never get done.
The children are down there right now playing on X-Box... yes they are noisy, and
yes, that is just too bad...
I have decided to not worry about it.... its too stressful if I do.
I'm actually not complaining, I just wonder why he came here from Korea... he wasted
his family's money, as he paid for his school etc... and its not cheap... anyway, not my business I guess.. hehe
On a better note... I am excited that I have been able to get more children to
take care of.
I thought it would be impossible,  I lost some kids ( they got older... went to Jr High School )
How dare they grow up... haha
I started with a lovely girl this week... next week, another one, and tomorrow, someone will come over to see me with her 2 kids ( one is in school )... so its back to being busy again..I dont
know if I'll get them, will find out soon.
I am loving Pinterest ... are any of you on it ???
I have found some good recipes on there, and also some great ideas.

Music....

Do you ever hear a song, and it brings you right back to another place and time..... I love music....
For example.... When I hear the song Maggie May by Rod Stewart... it brings me back to when I worked for Wovenair ( in Scotland ).. the radio was always on, and I remember singing this at the top of my lungs while working.

or there's Larger than Life by the Backstreet Boys.... that song reminds me of some children I babysit... they made up a dance  to this, and they were so cute doing it... they are now all grown up, some have finished school and are working..

When I listen to the first Yiruma CD, it always reminds me of Sujin... We listened to it every night.. it was maybe 8 years ago.
She is now married with 2 children....
